Mike Rockenstein is proud to compete in this year’s Capital Cup on behalf of First Tee – Greater Sacramento. First Tee believes every kid deserves the chance to build inner strength and confidence before the world demands it, using golf as a vehicle to teach core values, healthy habits, and life skills. First Tee – Greater Sacramento has positively impacted more than 58,000 young people in the region, with 56,000 participating each year, free of charge, serving juniors ages 3 to 18 and individuals with disabilities from youth through adulthood. Through instruction at local golf courses, with community partners, and in elementary schools, First Tee prepares young people for success in the classroom, college, and beyond. Independent research shows 73% of participants report high confidence in their academic ability and 82% feel confident in their social skills with peers.

By playing in the Capital Cup, Mike is joining a field of local leaders competing not just for a trophy, but for the causes they care about most. Modeled after the Ryder Cup, the tournament pits two teams against each other in a three-day competition, with proceeds benefiting each golfer’s chosen charity. The winning team’s charities split a $100,000 prize fund, and the event has raised more than $20 million for Sacramento-region nonprofits since it began.

Mike is asking for your support to help First Tee – Greater Sacramento continue building character, confidence, and life skills in young people across our community.
