Craig Powell

Natura Life and Science

Craig Powell, COO at Natura Life + Science, is playing for Autism Speaks at this year’s Capital Cup, a cause that hits close to home for his team. His daughter Carlyn is a Senior Developmental Paraprofessional who works daily with children with developmental differences, and Natura’s VP of Business Development, Josh Schmidt, is the father of a son on the spectrum. At Natura, autism awareness isn’t abstract; it’s personal.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to creating a more inclusive world for autistic people across the lifespan, through advocacy, services and supports, research and innovation, and better care for individuals and families.

By playing in the Capital Cup, Craig is joining a field of local leaders competing not just for a trophy, but for the causes they care about most. Modeled after the Ryder Cup, the tournament pits two teams against each other in a three-day competition, with proceeds benefiting each golfer’s chosen charity. The winning team’s charities split a $100,000 prize fund, and the event has raised more than $20 million for Sacramento-region nonprofits since it began.

Craig is asking for your support to help Autism Speaks provide earlier support, stronger resources, and real pathways to opportunity for autistic individuals and their families.
