Doug Van Order is proud to compete in this year’s Capital Cup on behalf of the Rylee Grace Foundation, created in memory of his and his family’s daughter Rylee, whose courage, strength, and joy continue to inspire the foundation’s mission. The Rylee Grace Foundation brings hope, comfort, and moments of happiness to children battling pediatric cancer while supporting their families through one of life’s most difficult journeys, guided by its Four Pillars of Hope: personalized wishes that create lasting memories, mental health support through Child Life services and family therapy, chemo hoodies and care packages, and travel assistance for families receiving proton radiation treatment in San Diego.

By playing in the Capital Cup, Doug is joining a field of local leaders competing not just for a trophy, but for the causes they care about most. Modeled after the Ryder Cup, the tournament pits two teams against each other in a three-day competition, with proceeds benefiting each golfer’s chosen charity. The winning team’s charities split a $100,000 prize fund, and the event has raised more than $20 million for Sacramento-region nonprofits since it began.
