Rick Wylie is Chairman and CEO of Villara Corporation, a major provider of HVAC, plumbing, solar, battery, and other energy-saving products for residential new construction builders, multi-family new construction builders and retrofit contractors, and existing homes. Founded in 1947 under the name Beutler, Villara has a long history of craftsmanship and innovation. Under his leadership, Mr. Wylie, a technical engineer, visionary, and inventor, has spearheaded the drive for new and better products through continuous education and improvement. This innovative think-tank atmosphere has attributed to the patents Villara holds, as well as the multiple patents Wylie personally holds, including the Zoned Thermal Equalizer, Smart Vent, Modular Heat Recovery Ventilation System, Evaporative Pre-Cooler for Air Cooled Heat Exchanges, AquaChill, AquaThermAir, VillaTherm, and other zoning control and fresh air strategies. Mr. Wylie graduated from the Apprenticeship Program at American River College in 1982 where he studied air conditioning and refrigeration, sheet metal, solar heating and welding. Some of his associations include the California Building Industry Association, Air Conditioning Contractors of America, California Association of Building Energy Consultants, North State Building Industry Association, and the Trade Contractor’s Council. Mr. Wylie has served on several boards throughout his career, including Volunteers of America, HomeAid, the Building Industry Association, and the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA). Rick recently celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife Cynthia, their single child Joshua is now President of Villara, and they enjoy the addition of two grand-daughters, Breena and Kaylin.
