My name is Trevor Robertson, and this is my first year playing in the Capital Cup. I’m playing for a cause that hits close to home: about 10 years ago, my brother was in an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down, and today he’s a member of Helping Empower Adaptive Lives (HEAL), a local nonprofit that gives people with physical disabilities a way to stay active, competitive, and connected. HEAL runs low-cost adaptive sports and recreation programs across the Sacramento region, from wheelchair basketball tournaments to youth programs, adaptive equipment loans, and transportation for gear and athletes, all funded by donations. I’m playing three days of golf; my brother and his teammates work a lot harder than that every week. Every dollar you give supports HEAL’s programs, and if our team wins the Capital Cup, HEAL shares in the $100,000 prize fund on top of it. Thank you for your support, it means more than you know.
